You can easily share your Google Docs document with specific people. All you have to do is tell Google Docs their email addresses. But you can also tell Google to make your Google Docs document public with its own URL, so that anyone who has the link can see it. Here's how.

  1. Access your Google Docs account.

  2. With your Google Docs document open, click the blue Share rectangle in the top right corner.

  3. Click Get shareable link.

  4. Click the Anyone with the link... dropdown arrow to select whether anyone with the link can view, edit or comment on your document.

  5. Click Copy link.

  6. Click Done.

  7. If you want to shorten the link, go to goo.gl or any link shortener of your choice, and create the short link.

  8. Paste the link into your blog, website, email, etc., by placing your cursor at the point where you want to add the link and pressing Ctrl-v.

  9. After step 5, if you click Advanced instead of Done, you'll see several options that enable you to share the link via Gmail, Google+, Facebook and/or Twitter; change access levels; invite specific people to access the document; and change owner settings. After completing your advanced settings, click Save or Save changes, then click Done.

There! The deed is done.
